At Chaidmia Hora we often say that pure honey isn’t proven by nice words or advertising, but by the people who buy it, taste it and come back for more. In this article we share a review from one of our customers, Moul Chfenja, who tasted our honey and gave his honest opinion on camera. After that, a few tips for choosing pure honey, and our latest videos from the countryside.
After tasting our honey, Moul Chfenja said without hesitation that it is 100% pure honey, on his own guarantee, with a fair price and very high quality. He also thanked our parents and everyone who works on it, and encouraged anyone looking for pure honey, amlou or argan oil to get in touch with us.
Those words make us very happy, not because they praise us, but because they sum up exactly what we aim for: bringing people pure honey at a fair price, with the same trust you find between neighbours in the countryside.
Pure honey is honey that bees make from flower nectar and that leaves the hive with no added sugar, syrup or water, and without being overheated. Each variety takes its taste and aroma from its plant: thyme honey is strong and fragrant, euphorbia honey leaves a peppery feeling in the throat, and orange blossom honey is light and sweet. To get to know each one, read our guide to Moroccan honey.
To keep the same taste for a long time, store it in a well-closed glass jar, away from the sun and out of the fridge. All our tips are in how to store honey at home. Important: honey should not be given to babies under one year old.
Because there is only a limited amount, it depends on each year’s rain and flowering, and it takes the work of a beekeeper who moves his hives from place to place. Very cheap honey is often blended, heated or imported.
No. Many varieties crystallise over time and in the cold, which is normal. To make it runny again, put the jar in hot (not boiling) water and stir with a dry spoon.
